Today in one of my uni workshops we had to do work on a common diagnosis, answering questions such as what it is, what are the symptoms impacting a person’s function and how does this affect their quality of life. Sure enough, my group had to discuss cancer. I was really proud of myself for openly talking about what cancer is and how it impacts a person’s function. I haven’t been able to do that before since losing my own Dad to cancer. I use to well up when I thought about cancer and how destructive it is, but now I feel like I’m able to talk about it and be this knowledge of it. Im hoping my Dad is proud of me too 🤍
