Hi everyone - I’m Ellie, 26 years old. I was visiting my parents in Spain a month ago when on my last day, just before going to the airport, my dad had a heart attack and passed away. He had only been in the bathroom for 15 minutes before we found him. It was entirely unexpected - no signs at all. Dad was my best friend, hero and my biggest supporter - I spoke to him on the phone almost every day and told him my every move. Heartbroken about losing such an incredible man that was such a huge part of my life. Proud at the impact he has left on so many people. Grateful for the time I’ve had with him, the love he has poured into me and that there is so much of him within me. For now, I’m finding that speaking to people who have experienced similar grief is comforting. So here I am x
