Hello, my name is Michelle. I am a new member and although I have lost a few people already in my 29 years of living, the day the world ended for me was December 25th 2021. My aunt was everything to me. She had ovarian cancer but had been secretly battling it for 2 years. It all ended with the first stroke after her birthday in early December and then once finally being able to go home, she suffered another 2 days after. We couldn’t visit due to COVID regulations. The last time I spoke to her was thru FaceTime however I didn’t know that was going to be the last time. She was taken to a hospice care where she suffered a heart attack, all alone with no one by her side for weeks because of the damm restrictions. She was on DNR (her choice prior to everything). I still have her contact info on my phone, can’t bring myself to delete anything. Sometimes I forget she is gone since she was there for everything, not just for me but all my cousins. She was like a second mom to me and so many others. I miss you Gris, every day.
