Hello! I’m new to this group. I lost my dad somewhat unexpectedly in May after he had been on hospice care for several months, but he had been getting better for most of that until the last month before his death. We last saw him on Easter while he was still walking around and talking like his normal self. By the next week, he was unable to get up at all and was completely bedridden and slowly became unable to hold conversations as well. This last week or so it has really been hitting me that he is gone. No one really asks anymore how I’m doing, just how my mom is ( I understand why they ask about her), so I just don’t say much about it.
