Grief lasts so much longer than sympathy As time goes on society expects you to go back to normal What's normal ? he was my life my partner my soulmate I can't just erase him and act like I'm fine I'm far from fine I'm far from being me Councillor doesn't listen and compares her grief to mine Doctor doses me up on medication and tells me I'll be fine I want to scream from the rooftops that this love was mine We didn't have long enough together we wanted it to be forever 💔 I've taken to writing little poems not sure they are any good but it helps a little to write feelings down .
