Today was the day I finally managed to open the boxes of my mums personal belongings and sort through them. They have been sat in the corner of my dining room for 5 months already because I just couldn’t face doing it. I have laughed at old photos, cried at special memories but mostly found it helped me to reconnect with her, rather than just have an empty hollow feeling inside.
