Hello all. I found this app through a grief page I follow on Instagram. I lost my Nana who helped raise me in home with my mother. I left my job out of state and moved home in the fall of 2019 to become a full time caregiver for both my nana and my mother following a serious cardiac operation she underwent earlier that year. In Feb, we began in-home hospice and in early December we had to say our final goodbyes. Now I’m still at home caring for my sick and grief-stricken mother. What a journey it has been not to mention the chaos and heartache of Covid-19 added in the mix. I’m in grief counseling but still struggling day for day and looking for safe places to share my story. I thought I understood grief but losing my nana has been the most devastating event in my life and I’m not sure I’ll ever fully “recover”. Look forward to connecting with others especially current/former caregivers.
