hello, my name is Anna and I am new to this group. Last May I lost my mom (age 57) unexpectedly to a pulmonary embolism post general surgery. My mom was my main supporter and my best friend. A few months after losing her I had to move away to a different city to attend graduate school. I got into this school prior to the passing of my mom and she was so excited for me. She always pushed me to be the best person and her main goal was for her kids to get an education and follow their desired paths in life. I was so close to not attending but I did it for her and myself in the long run. It has been very difficult to be away from my main support system as that is one of the reasons I joined this app, seeking support/supporting others and relatability.
