I picked up my mom’s ashes today from the funeral home. It feels like I’m re-living the day she passed away all over again. I thought it would bring me some comfort to bring her home, but I’ve had a really hard evening instead. Her loss was so sudden. Bringing home her ashes just still doesn’t feel real.
