The things I have learned since my Mum passed away in September. Grief is not comparable and it really hurts when people compare rather than listen and empathise. The texts and calls after you lose someone soon start to fade . People expect you to just "be ok" when you really are not. Life goes on but you feel as if yours has hit the pause button. I have found ways to try and manage , taking naps, being creative and reaching out . Sometimes though ,you really do just want to be in your own little bubble. Each grief journey is so different, what I do know is that we do need to be much kinder to ourselves during those emotionally challenging days.πŸ’™
